Michigan Multistakeholder Primary Care Review

  • Primary Care Review May 2023
  • The Public Health Emergency (PHE) introduced unprecedented changes and flexibilities in many policies to accommodate the unique needs and circumstances of providing care during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Soon the PHE will sunset, and in preparation, the May edition of the Primary Care Review contains resources and advance information to help POs, practices and systems navigate the changes.  In this edition, you will find:
    • A Post-PHE Telehealth Comparative Payer Policy Guide that outlines post-PHE payer telehealth provisions for all Michigan Mulitpayer Initiative (MMI) participating Payers.  You will see that many Payers retained several of the changes introduced during the pandemic to make telehealth more accessible as a continuing modality for providing care.  We are especially thankful to the MMI Payers and the Center for Connected Health Policy for working together and collaborating with us to produce the guide for availability in advance of the PHE’s sunsetting.
